Description

Low voltage current transformers (CTs) are electrical devices that convert high current levels into lower, more manageable levels for measurement or protection purposes. Application

Low voltage CTs typically have a an output of 1A or 5A or 0.333mV.  They are designed to operate at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, or 400Hz if requested and are available in a variety of shapes and sizes to accommodate different installation requirements. Moulded Case Current

Moulded Case Current Transformers are designed with a protective housing, which provides insulation and safeguards against external environmental factors. They are compact and provide excellent mechanical protection. These CTs are commonly used in switchgear, motor control centres, and panel boards. Moulded Case CTs offer accurate current measurement in demanding applications. Available in metering only, not available in protection or Class PX.

Resin Cast Current Transformers

Resin Cast Current Transformers are constructed by encapsulating the secondary windings in epoxy resin. This casting process provides excellent insulation, making them suitable for outdoor installations. Resin Cast CTs are resistant to moisture, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations, making them ideal for use in distribution transformers, and outdoor substations. Available in metering, protection and Class PX.

Three Phase Current Transformers

Three Phase Current Transformers are designed to measure currents in three-phase power systems. They consist of three separate cores wound and cased together to give one single product. These CTs are widely used in industrial and commercial settings to measure and monitor the balanced and unbalanced currents in three-phase circuits, as well as energy monitoring, available in metering class only.

Split-Core Current Transformers

Summation Current Transformers

Summation Current Transformers are used to measure the total current flowing through multiple conductors or cables. They have multiple primary windings and a single secondary winding. Rogowski Coil Transducer

Rogowski Coil Transducers are flexible current sensors that do not have an iron core. They are made of a coiled conductor and provide a voltage output proportional (non linear) to the rate of change of the current being measured. Rogowski Coils offer advantages such as easy installation, light, flexible and available in many sizes. They are commonly used in power quality monitoring, energy audits, and load profiling applications. Available in metering class only
